My name is John Swierczynski and I am an exercise science major at UNCC. I like exploring mountains by hiking and camping. Within this website you might find some hints of my interest in nature but it's important to keep in mind that I also enjoy science very much! I am a combination of a nature loving hippie and a science nerd, I guess =)

 

This is a website for an English class where I will be posting all my written assignments to share with the world.   There are four sections to this page, all with a specific purpose to help you understand my thoughts on writing and the work I am doing in this class!

 

The 'Digital Essay' page is a rhetorical analysis focusing on genre in the movie industry. There is a digital and a written component to this project.

 

The 'Reflection' page showcases my final thoughts  about how my writing has evolved and improved over the course of the last month in ENGL 1102.

 

The 'Inquiry' page has my philosophical examination of materialism in America and whether it is a positive or negative aspect of our culture.

 

Finally, the 'Blog' page has a total of eight personal and digital pieces that express my thoughts on class discussions or projects that we have been working on either together or independently.

 

In general, I think writing should be expressive of the author's opinions and it should sound very personal. Let's hope I can accomplish that here especially through my blogs!

 

PS: I am the last thing from being artistic or creative, so this might be a struggle. Let's see if you like this webpage.
